Financial Analyst

Weber Shandwick’s Los Angeles office is seeking a Financial Analyst. The person in this position will play an important role in the firm’s revenue recognition process, and will report to the Regional Finance Director.
Duties include:
- Perform month end close process
- Manage Intercompany relationships
- Guide financial process by establishing, monitoring and enforcing policies and procedures
- Prepare reports as required: Revenue Worksheet, P&L, budgets, revenue forecasts, JEs, revenue analysis and P&L reconciliations
- Prepare budgets by establishing schedules; collect, analyze and consolidate financial data
- Prepare revenue forecasts and support business planning and budget development by management and client leaders
- Administer all client contracts with support from the legal department
- File financial reports and advise management on needed actions. Ensure SOX compliance at the local level
- Monitor and confirm financial condition; provide information to external auditors
- Manage billing staff for non-government contracts
- Regular and proactive communication to senior management and account leads on all financial matters
Qualifications include:
- 2+ years’ experience as an accountant/finance professional
- BA/BS degree in Accounting preferred
- Experience operating in a SOX compliant environment is a plus
- Experience working in a client service/agency environment
- Attention to detail and the ability to meet reporting deadlines
- Ability to handle complex global financial matters
- Proven track record in accountancy/regulations compliance
- Revenue recognition experience/knowledge
- Very strong control skills
- Excellent teamwork and project management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of Hyperion and be proficient in Microsoft Office (with an expertise in Excel)
