The annual session of China’s parliament closes in Beijing
The annual meeting of China’s parliament, the National People’s Congress (NPC), closed on March 18. This year’s focus was on three primary areas: economic and social policy priorities, State Council reform and personnel changes in the legislature and executive and judicial branches of the government.

Nike celebrates new collection and documentary launch
Nike China launched two big items in early 2008: a new athletic and footwear collection and a documentary film, “Dare,” honoring 1984 Olympic athlete and former world record high jumper, Zhu Jianhua. Weber Shandwick was enlisted to publicize the retro-inspired collection, Olympic Pack, and “Dare” through media relations and an ‘80s themed event held in Beijing Sport University’s indoor track building.

Da S and Pantene ring in a new line and a new year in Shanghai
Weber Shandwick Beijing supported the event, run by Pantene’s Consumer Development team, through media invitation, program design and celebrity management. The Weber Shandwick team capitalized on Da S’ status as the “Queen of Entertainment” to produce an impactful endorsement of Pantene’s winter product line.
