To celebrate Bayer HealthCare’s (BHC) ten year anniversary in China, Weber Shandwick in Beijing organized a press conference and a gala dinner at Villa 17 Diaoyutai State Guesthouse (Fang Fei Garden) on March 28. BHC used this dinner to express gratitude to those who have supported its success over the past ten years, and to demonstrate its long-term commitment to China.
At the dinner, the newly-appointed president of BHC (China), Mr. Chris Lee, met over 300 VIPs in China.
To share the story of BHC in China and to present BHC’s future vision in a unique way, Weber Shandwick created an innovative program to bring the BHC story to life. Weber Shandwick conceptualized the concept of a train approaching four different stations with different milestones and stories. This unique concept made a strong impact on the guests and was a “run-away” success.
Speeches made by senior vice president of BHC (Asia), Dr. Lowinski and Mr. Chris Lee highlighted two key topics for BHC and the community in which it operates: increasing the budget for construction expansion, and the introduction of a new tumor medication, Sorafenib.
The event was an overwhelming success with the media generating over 60 positive coverage clippings.
