Weber Shandwick’s Beijing office recently organized a gala dinner for VIP Air China Companion Card Club members. The objective of the dinner was to strengthen relations between VIP frequent flyers and Air China.
While organizing the gala dinner, the Weber Shandwick team was required to juggle various stakeholder requirements. The team also wanted to make this event a unique one.
The dinner was centered on a Chinese cultural theme. The venue was decorated in traditional Chinese red and lanterns were placed around the room. There were also lantern riddles, a lucky draw and a traditional Chinese dance and song performance.
More than 150 gold and silver Air China Companion Club Card members attended the event; invitees were those members who had traveled more than 40 times via first and business classes, as well as some senior members of the Club.
There were a number of notable guests in attendance including Air China executives. Guests from Weber Shandwick client, MasterCard International also attended the dinner which further strengthened their relationship with Air China.
The dinner was a success and the positive outcome of the event has meant that Weber Shandwick’s Beijing team has established strong confidence among a number of domestic conglomerates, including Air China, China Southern Airlines, and Capital Land.
