Stephanie Yu
Director, Healthcare

Stephanie Yu  leads Weber Shandwick’s healthcare practice team in China, providing strategic counsel and implementing PR program development and execution for the world’s key healthcare brands. Her role is also to bring the best and most appropriate resources from Weber Shandwick’s  public affairs, medical communications and special event management sister companies, in order to help clients achieve their marketing and communication objectives.

With more than eight years of healthcare and corporate communications experience in healthcare and corporate communications in Greater China,  her expertise lies in advocacy communications, patient engagement, disease awareness campaigning, executive media and crisis training, issues management, strategic planning and leading large-scale campaigns.  

Stephanie’s pharmaceutical client portfolio includes BMS, Bayer Healthcare, Novartis, Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Celgene, J&J, J&J Medical China, PerkinElmer, Astellas, Roche Roche Diagnostics, GSK and Reckitt-Benckiser.  Her hard efforts have been recognised by several global and regional PR industry awards, including top honors at the 2006 Asia Pacific PR Week Awards in the Healthcare-ethical category, an IABC Gold Quill Award in 2003 and in 2004 she was awarded for the Young Professional of the Year.

Prior to her return to Weber Shandwick, Stephanie led the China healthcare practice at two other international agencies for a total of three years. She holds a Master of Science in Public Relations from the University of Stirling (Scotland) and a Master of Business Administration from the National Sun Yat-Sen University in Taiwan.
